This is my Palma de Mallorca. This is my TRYP.

Palma de Mallorca, largest city in the Balearic Islands, was once one of the Mediterranean’s chief ports. Today, Palma is a bustling city and a very popular tourist hub. Our own city aficionadas would be happy to guide you to the top places to go in the ‘Ciutat’(city) as the Mallorquines call it.

Probably the most outstanding landmarks in Palma are the Catalonian Gothic Cathedral, La Seu, in the center of the Old Town and the Castel de Bellver, which literally means, “castle of the beautiful view” built on a hill just northwest of the city. This uniquely circular castle has a museum devoted to archaeological artifacts, but the main attraction here is the view.

Stores in Palma are known for elegant leather goods, fine needlework and the famous Mallorcan faux pearls, which only experts can tell apart from the real thing. After 7 pm, check out the Garito Café for their version of a burger and nachos and stay for a variety of cool live music after 10 pm, or, pop in upstairs at Café Bar Barcelona if you prefer laid-back live jazz or soul. Of course, if it’s a weekend, you’ll wanna check out the all-night dance party at Pacha’s!
